The app is pretty straight forward. Once you've set up your personal settings and configured your phone's settings, it really does the work for you.
Turning on Bluetooth is crucial for this app to work, as it is the basis for determining people/devices in proximity to you/your device. To activate Bluetooth for this app, go to the "Settings" button in the upper left corner of this app and press the Bluetooth toggle to the "ON" position.
With Bluetooth on, your next step is to choose your safety radius – the distance at which you are notified when people get close. You have the option to choose between 6 feet, 10 feet and 15 feet. It is important to note that you will receive notifications when people are closer than the radius distance you have chosen.
Turning on location settings will allow your phone to scan the area for devices near you. If this settings is NOT turned on, the Spaced app will not work, so make sure you switch that ON before using the app.
Background scanning allows Spaced to see devices near you even if the app is closed. If background scanning is NOT turned on, the app will only work when it is open on your phone. Background location permission is needed for background scanning settings to determine devices near you so, make sure these settings are turned ON to ensure the app functions properly.
